Units for an Oakmont project
Most work in this Havertown section is home improvement, a kitchen gut, a finished basement, or a second-story addition on the streets off Darby Road, and one standard unit beside the contractor's bin covers it. When a second trade moves in, the deluxe flushing model with a sink keeps a busy site cleaner.
For a backyard graduation, a communion party or a block event, a handwashing station with a couple of standard units handles the guests, and the climate-controlled luxury trailer is the pick when the gathering moves to a tent on the lawn.
Placement on a Havertown twin
Oakmont's twins and rowhouse-style blocks have short shared drives, so we usually set a standard unit at the top of the drive or on a firm side-yard corner, keeping the door off the street and clear of the neighbor's half.
Where a home fronts the sidewalk with no drive, a curbside drop may be the option, squared to the curb with the lane clear; a longer curbside stay can need a township permit, which we flag up front.
Winter along Darby Road
Haverford Township plows tight and snow banks at the curb, so we plan a cold-weather drop for the driveway rather than a buried curb, treat the tank for the freeze, and sand a slick base so a unit keeps working through a January stretch.
If a storm buries a unit, clear a path to the service side and the scheduled pump still runs, and we would rather move a service day than let a tank sit full through a Nor'easter. A quick heads-up once the driveway is dug out gets us back on the Oakmont block the same week.
